Bobby O’Neal Harris, known professionally as “I Am Bobby Harris,” is a licensed Master Barber, stylist and instructor whose career connects precision barbering, creative hairstyling, education and entrepreneurship. Originally from New Albany, Mississippi, and based in Memphis, Tennessee, Bobby has spent nearly 20 years developing a craft that reaches far beyond a haircut.

From the chair to the championship floor

A 60-time barber battle champion and Andis Ambassador, Bobby built his reputation through the details: clean fades, deliberate lines, original freestyle designs and a complete vision for the finished look. His journey includes two disqualifications in the Andis Total Look Competition at Bronner Brothers before returning to earn a perfect score—becoming only the second competitor in the competition’s history to do so.

He was also the only barber invited to the inaugural Bronner Brothers Hair Battle, competing alongside leading hairstylists. Those experiences helped shape his approach: prepare, keep learning and let the work speak.

A craft that crosses disciplines

Bobby’s range spans men’s precision cuts, fades, freestyle designs and personalized hair unit services, as well as women’s cuts, vivid color, blonding, texture and thermal styling. His portfolio reflects the connection between barbering and beauty—an eye for shape, balance and the details that make each look individual.

Education, mentorship & recognition

As a licensed instructor, educator and competition judge, Bobby shares the techniques and lessons he has developed behind the chair and on the battle floor. His education work has reached Premiere Show Group, ABS Chicago, Bronner Brothers and Kevin Kirk’s Jam Session, among other industry platforms.

His recognition includes the OG Barber Award, 2026 Mentor of the Year, 2024 Barber of the Year and two education awards. His 2019 honors include Barber of the Year, Best Barber, Rookie of the Year and Greatness Icon. He has also been featured in VoyageATL and nominated for America’s Top 100 Entrepreneurs.

For Bobby, mentorship means passing knowledge forward and helping other professionals develop their own standards, confidence and creative voice. Competition achievements are part of the story; teaching and building opportunities give that experience a wider purpose.
